Digital Prints: Where Should I Print My Art?

Ready to make your digital print come alive? We've put together a comparison of four popular print companies to help you decide which option is right for you.  Whether it's about pricing, quality or user experience - read on to find out which printing company is right for you!

1. Staples Copy and Print offers affordable services when it comes to printing, making it a decent option for basic printing needs. Unfortunately, while the cost is great, the print quality leaves something to be desired; the prints were simply “ok” rather than great. On top of that, some customers may find the ordering process clunky and not particularly straightforward. With that said, if you're on the lookout for a low-cost printing service then Staples Copy and Print could still be worth considering- but it might not provide the results you're really after.

    2. Walmart is known for their low prices, and their photo center certainly reflects that. I found that some of the prints came out looking disappointingly off in terms of color accuracy (the branch etching pictured above came out robins egg blue?!) and the paper used felt more like plastic than paper. The user experience and navigation throughout their service online was still ok though, so if you're just looking for a basic printing option, this could still fit your needs. Just don't expect too much in terms of quality- or you may be disappointed.

    3. Shutterfly offers good quality and value for money. Print quality was good and colors were within the expected range, although I did notice that there was some variation in brightness. The paper used is plain cardstock, which isn't ideal if you're looking for true archival quality, but otherwise suits most people's needs.

    4. PosterJack is a great option for those who value quality prints and are willing to spend a bit more on their purchase. Their fine art paper is heavy-weight and has a slight texture, which makes the prints truly stand out. In terms of color accuracy, I found that the colors were good but the prints were slightly darker than expected. I found their website navigation and checkout process to be straightforward and easy to use. Overall, I was quite satisfied with the Posterjack prints.

All four of the companies we reviewed have their own unique strengths and weaknesses, so it really depends on your specific needs as to which one is the best fit for you. We hope that our overview has given you a better idea of what’s out there and helped you narrow down your choices.
